and our story so far…

In 2017, director/producer Tristan Barr shot Australia’s very first ONE-SHOT feature film called ‘Watch the Sunset’ which it released in cinemas in 2019 as was labelled as one of the top 5 films of the year by Cinema Australia.

In 2018, Continuance Pictures shot a pilot web-series ‘CURSED’ funded by Screen QLD and premiered at SxSW film Festival in 2019. In the same year, after travelling to every major film market and talking to the modern day Hollywood horror king producer Jason Blum of BlumHouse they launched their first screen writing competition that received hundreds of scripts. Competition aim to produce short films to create Proof of Concepts for long form content and that has helped Continuance Pictures partner with some International industry heavies with emerging creators, including Jay Ahn (The Nut Job), Jonathan Shiff (H20, Ocean Girl), Young Kim (A tale of two sisters, CJ Ent. CGV), Laura Rister (Marine Call, Untiled Ent.), Tracey Viera (Hoodlum, ex-CEO Screen QLD) to name a few.

In 2019 they made their first feature film together which the script was selected out of their screen writing competition.

In 2020 as they continue post-production they are continuing the screen writing competition and also launched a fast track pitching consulting program ‘PitchProof’. In 2021 Continuance Pictures is looking to expand their creative territory into a digital publishing, podcast narrative series and to become an independent content brand with international partners.
